Journey

Clear Answers.
Expert Care.
Peace of Mind.

Personalised Consultation.

Your journey begins with a detailed consultation with Dr Celene at the clinic, where your concerns, symptoms, and medical history are carefully discussed. A thorough examination helps determine the most appropriate next steps.

Advanced Breast Imaging.

Dr Celene may perform a bed side ultrasound and if more sophisticated imaging is required, we will coordinate mammography, ultrasound and MRI at trusted imaging centers. These tools allow accurate detection and evaluation of breast conditions.

Accurate Diagnosis.

If further evaluation is needed, minimally invasive procedures such as image-guided biopsies may be arranged to obtain a precise diagnosis. Clear explanations are provided so you fully understand your results.

Understanding Your Options.

Once a diagnosis is made, Dr Ng will guide you through the findings and discuss the available management options. This ensures you have the information and confidence to make informed decisions about your care.

Personalised Treatment Plan.

If treatment is required, an individualised care plan is developed using the latest evidence and surgical techniques, including advanced oncoplastic surgery and minimally invasive techniques to optimize both cancer outcomes and breast appearance.

Ongoing Care and Support.

Your care continues beyond treatment. Follow-up reviews, breast screening guidance and ongoing support help you maintain long-term breast health with confidence.

Our Services

A correct diagnosis is the foundation of outstanding breast care. Every procedure is performed with the highest standards of accuracy, comfort, and clinical expertise.

Real-time assessment in the consultation room — immediate answers, without a separate appointment.

At The Breast Practice, your surgeon is equipped with a state-of-the-art handheld wireless ultrasound probe, enabling real-time breast imaging to be performed bedside during your consultation or follow-up visit. This technology places diagnostic capability directly in the hands of the clinician most familiar with your history.

This is particularly valuable for follow-up assessments — monitoring a known lesion, evaluating a new area of concern raised during examination, or reviewing the site of a previous biopsy or excision. Because the surgeon performs the scan personally, clinical findings and imaging are interpreted together in the same moment, removing the delay of a separate radiology appointment.

The wireless probe uses high-frequency sound wave technology. No radiation is involved. The examination is painless and typically completed within 10–15 minutes.

Performed by your surgeon directly

Conditions We Treat

At The Breast Practice, we provide expert diagnosis and management for a wide range of breast conditions, both malignant and benign. Signs to look out for:

  1. A new lump or thickening in the breast or armpit

  4. Changes to the nipple, including inversion, discharge, or crusting
  5. Unexplained pain in one area of the breast

Types of breast cancers we treat:

  • Early-stage breast cancer (Stage I and II)
  • Locally advanced breast cancer (Stage III)
  • Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS)
  • Triple-negative breast cancer

Types of Surgery for Breast cancer

Surgical care is approached with both precision and thoughtfulness. Every recommendation is carefully considered, balancing what is medically appropriate with what feels right for you.

1

Oncoplastic Breast Surgery

Oncoplastic surgery combines cancer surgery with plastic surgery techniques to achieve the best possible oncological and cosmetic outcomes simultaneously. Dr Celene offers the full range of oncoplastic options, including volume displacement (mammoplasty – “breast lift” / “breast reduction”) and volume replacement (chest wall perforator flaps) procedures.

2

Robotic & Minimally Invasive Breast Surgery

Dr Celene is one of Singapore’s foremost experts in robotic and endoscopic breast surgery. These approaches allow surgery through small off-the-breast incisions at the side of the chest wall resulting in less visible scarring, reduced post-operative discomfort, and faster recovery.

3

Lumpectomy / Wide Local Excision

For many patients with early-stage breast cancer, a lumpectomy offers highly effective treatment while preserving the breast. This procedure involves the careful surgical removal of the tumour together with a clear margin of surrounding healthy tissue. Dr Celene applies oncoplastic techniques where appropriate to maintain the natural shape and appearance of the breast.

4

Mastectomy

When a mastectomy is recommended, Dr Celene ensures you have everything you need to feel informed and supported.

This is often combined with immediate reconstruction where the nipple and skin of the breast is preserved and an implant or fat from the back, thigh or abdomen is used to create a “new” breast. Dr Celene understands the importance the breast has on your psycho-social-sexual health and is able to preserve this safely with minimally invasive techniques that allow for the surgery to be performed via a small incision on the side of the chest instead of on the breast. She also performs sensory preserving mastectomies which aim to preserve as much sensation to the nipple, allowing patients to enjoy the aesthetic and function of their breasts after cancer treatment.

When reconstruction is not what the patient wants, post operative care with special brasseries are also options that will be discussed with the patient.

5

Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy

A sentinel lymph node biopsy is a common procedure that is done to identify and sample the first lymph nodes into which a breast tumour drains, helping to determine whether cancer has spread while avoiding more extensive lymph node removal in many cases.

6

Second Opinions

Seeking a second opinion is a thoughtful and important step for many patients. We offer careful, comprehensive review of your diagnosis and treatment plan, including imaging and pathology where available. Our focus is to provide clarity and perspective in a calm, unpressured setting—so you can move forward with confidence, trust, and a sense of reassurance in your decisions.
